CAT 2017 – Exam Pattern

Here is a sneak peek into the every aspect of CAT 2017 exam pattern announced by the officials in CAT 2017 notification. CAT is a computer- based objective type test with a mix of multiple choice of questions (MCQs) as well as some non-MCQs. CAT is considered one of the most important national standards for entrance to management institutes. Apart from the Indian Institutes of Management, over 50 other management institute use the CAT score for shortlisting candidates.

Important points for CAT 2017

  • Candidates will be allowed to use basic on-screen calculator for calculation.

  • QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions.

  • No switching to other sections while answering questions in one. Section will shift to next one after candidate spends 60 minutes on it.

  • Candidates can select four test cities in order of preference. Allotment of sessions will be random.

  • Written answers will be introduced along with multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
